Increased leptin expression in endometriosis cells is associated with endometrial stromal cell proliferation and leptin gene up-regulation
Endometriotic lesions show increased leptin expression, which stimulates endometrial stromal cell proliferation and its own gene expression, suggesting an autocrine and paracrine role in disease pathogenesis.
