Regulation of Steroidogenic Acute Regulatory Protein Expression and Progesterone Production in Endometriotic Stromal Cells
Steroidogenic acute regulatory protein (StAR) expression is aberrantly high in endometriotic stromal cells, leading to increased progesterone and potentially contributing to endometriosis development, particularly when induced by peritoneal prostaglandin E2.
