Association between vitamin D and endometriosis: a systematic review

This paper systematically reviewed human original research on whether components of vitamin D metabolism (vitamin D metabolites, vitamin D–binding protein, vitamin D receptor polymorphisms, and vitamin D regulatory enzymes) are associated with endometriosis. Using Medline and Cochrane Central databases, the review included 21 studies published in any language and categorized findings across 12 metabolite-focused studies, eight VDBP studies, three VDR polymorphism studies, and two enzyme studies.
