Endometriosis: Immunohistochemical analysis of oestrogen and progesterone receptors in endometriotic tissue and endometrium
This study compared estrogen and progesterone receptor expression in endometriotic and endometrial tissues, finding lower scores in endometriotic epithelial cells for both receptors, with a statistically significant difference for progesterone receptors, and varying progesterone receptor levels across different locations of endometriosis.
