Für die Frage nach dem Einfluss verschiedener Formen wird berichtet, dass ein gesicherter Effekt der ovarillen, tief infiltrierenden oder rektalen Endometriose auf die Schwangerschaftswahrscheinlichkeit nach IVF/ICSI nicht belegt ist, diese Befunde jedoch Risiken während der Schwangerschaft bergen können. Dieser Beitrag behandelt auch den gebärfähigen Kontext mit Bezug auf Adenomyose, thematisiert aber die Kernaussage primär zur Endometriose.
