Oft ist sie mit einem frustranen Kinderwunsch verbunden.\nFragestellung\nZiel dieser Arbeit ist es, einen Einblick in Ursachen und Behandlungsoptionen bei Patientinnen mit Endometriose und Kinderwunsch zu geben sowie die Folgen der Endometriose in der Schwangerschaft zu beleuchten.\nMaterial und Methoden\nIn dieser Übersichtsarbeit wird die aktuelle Literatur zum Thema zusammengefasst.\nErgebnisse und Schlussfolgerung\nEine operative Endometriosesanierung kann die Wahrscheinlichkeit einer spontanen Konzeption erhöhen. Endometriome sollten nicht mehr automatisch vor einem Versuch der In-vitro-Fertilisation (IVF) oder intrazytoplasmatischen Spermieninjektion (ICSI) operativ behandelt werden. Auch wenn fraglich ist, ob die ovarielle, die tief infiltrierende oder auch die Rektumendometriose die Wahrscheinlichkeit einer Schwangerschaft nach IVF/ICSI-Behandlung beeinflusst, bergen diese Faktoren Risiken während einer Schwangerschaft.\nAbstract\nBackground\nEndometriosis is the second most frequent benign gynecological disease in women during the fertile period after uterine myoma. Endometriosis is frequently associated with infertility.\nObjective\nThe aim of this article is to provide insights into the causes and treatment options for patients with endometriosis and a desire for children and to discuss the influence of endometriosis on pregnancy.\nMaterial and methods\nThis article gives a review and summary of the current literature on this topic.\nResults and conclusion\nSurgical removal of endometriosis can have a positive impact on the prognosis for spontaneous conception. Endometriosis should no longer be automatically surgically treated prior to in vitro fertilization (IVF) treatment or intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI).
