The frequency of endometriosis in the general and selected populations: A systematic review
This systematic review found endometriosis prevalence in the general population to be an estimated 4.4%, but higher in infertile women (23.8%), those with pelvic pain (49.7%), and women undergoing gynecological surgery (33.5%).
