Transvaginal sonography and rectal endoscopic sonography for the assessment of pelvic endometriosis: a preliminary comparison
This prospective study found transvaginal sonography (TVS) to be as accurate as rectal endoscopic sonography (RES) for diagnosing posterior pelvic endometriosis, suggesting TVS should be the initial diagnostic examination.
