Abstract

Endometriose é uma patologia estrogênio-dependente caracterizada por tecido semelhante às glândulas e estroma endometrial fora da cavidade uterina e atinge, principalmente, pacientes em idade reprodutiva, apresentando diversas manifestações, destacando-se, neste estudo, a endometriose profunda infiltrativa intestinal. As lesões apresentam caráter assimétrico e distribuição multifocal, preconizando, frequentemente, utilização combinada de técnicas cirúrgicas como forma de tratamento. O presente estudo configura uma pesquisa, de cunho descritivo e exploratório, a fim de correlacionar lesões recorrentes e abordagens cirúrgicas, com enfoque na interface entre as áreas de ginecologia e de coloproctologia.
