Promotion of endometriosis in mice by polychlorinated dibenzo-p-dioxins, dibenzofurans, and biphenyls.
2,3,7,8-TCDD and 4-PeCDF significantly enhanced endometriotic lesion growth in mice, suggesting an Ah receptor-mediated mechanism, while PCBs 126, 153, and 1,3,6,8-TCDD had no significant effect or were confounded by ovarian toxicity.
