The potential role of exposure to environmental toxicants in the pathophysiology of endometriosis
This study in rhesus monkeys found that chronic dioxin exposure was associated with increased serum levels of specific PCBs, higher endometriosis severity, and altered immune responses, suggesting a role for PCB body burden in the disease's etiology.
