This bibliographic review examines the association between endometriosis and female infertility, noting that the condition affects approximately half of women experiencing this problem. The paper identifies environmental risk factors such as alcohol consumption, red meat intake, and exposure to endocrine-disrupting chemicals, which influence hormonal levels and inflammation. Regarding management, the authors highlight that surgery prior to in vitro fertilization benefits patients with deep infiltrating disease, while hormonal therapies and traditional Chinese medicine also show promise for improving live birth rates. This paper is centrally about endometriosis — specifically its impact on fertility and various therapeutic interventions including surgical, hormonal, and complementary treatments.
