Impact of Endometriosis-Related Adhesions on Quality of Life among Infertile Women.
This study found that endometriosis-related pelvic adhesions, particularly adnexal, negatively impacted the quality of life in infertile women undergoing laparoscopy.

This descriptive study evaluated how endometriosis-related adhesions affect quality of life in 109 infertile women diagnosed with endometriosis who were candidates for laparoscopy, using an adhesion scoring method from the American Fertility Society and a Global Quality of Life Scale. Women were divided into those with endometriosis and adhesions (n=41) versus those with endometriosis without adhesions (n=68), and the prevalence of endometriosis-related adhesions was 37.6%, with adnexal adhesions reported as the most common location. The authors found that quality of life was significantly impacted by the presence of endometriosis-related adhesions (P=0.002), while demographic characteristics did not significantly differ between groups. The paper is centrally about endometriosis — specifically, the impact of endometriosis-related adhesions on quality of life among infertile women.
