This study analyzed 44 cases of intestinal endometriosis to characterize the diverse clinical and pathologic features that often lead to diagnostic challenges. The patient cohort, with a mean age of 44 years, presented with symptoms such as abdominal pain, obstruction, and rectal bleeding, leading to differential diagnoses including Crohn's disease, carcinoma, and diverticulitis. Pathological examination revealed extensive mural involvement, including smooth muscle hyperplasia, fibrosis, and mucosal alterations that frequently mimicked adenomatous changes or inflammatory bowel disease. Follow-up data indicated low recurrence rates after resection, highlighting the importance of recognizing these histologic patterns to avoid misdiagnosis. This paper is centrally about endometriosis — specifically the pathological evaluation and clinical presentation of deep infiltrating lesions within the intestinal tract.
