Peritoneal endometriotic lesions differentially express a haptoglobin-like gene*
This study sequenced the endometriosis protein-I (ENDO-I) cDNA, finding 99.4% homology with human haptoglobin beta-chain, and demonstrated its significantly higher expression in peritoneal endometriotic lesions compared to peritoneum, endometrioma, and eutopic endometrium.
