Expression of the transmembrane mucins, MUC1, MUC4 and MUC16, in normal endometrium and in endometriosis
This study found that transmembrane mucins MUC1 and MUC16 expression is constitutive in normal endometrium and unchanged in endometriosis, with MUC4 expressed at low levels and MUC1/MUC16 found at apical surfaces.
