MR findings of polypoid endometriosis of female genital organs: report of three cases
MR imaging features including solid/microcystic or multilocular patterns and nodule morphology are helpful clues for diagnosing polypoid endometriosis, which can avoid overtreatment and allow for fertility preservation.

This paper reports three cases of polypoid endometriosis involving female genital organs and describes characteristic MRI findings in relation to histopathology. Across the cases, nodules showed solid and microcystic or multilocular patterns corresponding to dilated endometrial glands, with helpful morphologic features (multilobulated or polypoid shape), and previously reported imaging traits such as T2 signal similar to endometrium, contrast-enhanced T1 similarity to endometrium, hypointense T2 rim, lack of diffusion restriction, and T1 hyperintense foci. Two patients were diagnosed preoperatively based on these MRI findings, and fertility-preserving treatment was given to one patient. The main limitation is that the evidence is based on only three case reports, which does not establish diagnostic performance beyond these examples. This paper is centrally about endometriosis — it focuses on MRI diagnosis of polypoid endometriosis of female genital organs.
