Prediction Models of Endometriosis Stage Generated From Potential Hematological Biomarkers
This study evaluated hematological biomarkers and found that serum CA125 levels, alone and combined with other markers, significantly correlated with endometriosis stage, with log(CA125) effectively predicting the stage.

This retrospective surgical study evaluated whether hematological biomarkers could predict endometriosis stage, using patients diagnosed by pathology between January 2015 and December 2020 and grouped into stage 1–3 versus stage 4. The authors found no significant relationship between endometriosis score and complete blood count parameters, including ratios involving neutrophils/lymphocytes and platelet-related indices; however, endometriosis score correlated significantly with serum CA125 and with combined markers including CA125. A univariate linear model using log-transformed CA125 predicted endometriosis score, with the endometriosis score increasing by 8.57 units per unit increase in log(CA125) (β=8.57, R²=0.115, p0.263).
