Diagnosis of endometriosis by detection of nerve fibers using protein gene product 9.5 immunohistochemistry
This study found that small nerve fibers, detected via PGP9.5 immunohistochemistry in endometrial biopsies, are present in endometriosis cases but absent in controls, suggesting nerve fibers as a potential diagnostic marker.
