Abstract

Adenomyosis is associated with a negative effect on pregnancy and obstetric outcome. Different studies have demonstrated a lower rate of clinical pregnancy, a higher miscarriage rate, and an increased risk of preterm delivery, preeclampsia, small for gestational age (SGA), fetal malpresentation, C-section rate, and postpartum hemorrhage (PPH). In this chapter, we review the actual literature and clarify why proper counseling prior to ART treatment and close monitoring of pregnancy are recommended in these patients.
