Este estudo experimental investigou se o fluido peritoneal (FP) de mulheres inférteis com endometriose mínima/leve altera a integridade do fuso meiótico e o alinhamento cromossômico de oócitos bovinos maturados in vitro. FP de 12 mulheres (6 férteis sem endometriose e 6 inférteis com endometriose mínima/leve), obtido por videolaparoscopia, foi testado em duas concentrações (1% e 10%), com 6 experimentos de MIV e uso de cada amostra de FP em apenas um experimento; os oócitos foram avaliados por imunofluorescência e microscopia confocal. Os oócitos sem FP e com FP de mulheres férteis apresentaram maiores taxas de oócitos meioticamente normais (88,46%, 78,57% com 1% e 84,62% com 10%) do que aqueles expostos a FP de mulheres com endometriose mínima/leve (62,50% com 1% e 56,25% com 10%), e dentro do grupo endometriose a taxa foi maior com 1% do que com 10%. Como limitação, o desenho utilizou um modelo animal com oócitos bovinos e amostras de FP por participante usadas em um único experimento, o que pode restringir a extrapolação direta para a biologia humana.
