Abstract

Endometriosis: final diagnosis and treatment Endometriosis is a disease observed in women in the reproductive age when endometrial-like tissue is present outside the uterine cavity. This induces a chronic, inflammatory reaction. The symptoms of the disease can vary from absent to mild or strong pain during the menstruation or provoking chronic abdominal pain with impact on the general physical, mental and social well being.
