The paper is a literature review aiming to evaluate quality of life in women with endometriosis, searching PubMed for studies published in the prior 10 years using “quality of life” and “endometriosis” terms, with inclusion limited to human female participants, English/Portuguese, available abstracts, and presence of terms in the title/abstract. From 147 initial articles, 12 were included, and all reported reduced quality of life in women with endometriosis; five additionally linked socioeconomic level, pain intensity, and healthy habits to quality of life. A key limitation acknowledged is that no included study proposed strategies to improve quality of life, despite discussing potential benefits of physiotherapy, psychological approaches, and physical activity. Relevance to endometriosis: the review’s entire objective and findings are about endometriosis-related quality of life, and it specifically discusses improvement in symptoms such as pain and psychological symptoms in this context.
