The effect of ENEAS application in patients with endometriosis and its influence on the level of IL-8 and MCP-1
This study evaluated the Enhanced Endometriosis Archiving Software (ENEAS) in 100 endometriosis patients, finding significantly reduced IL-8 gene expression in the ENEAS group compared to the control group.

This paper evaluated whether using Enhanced Endometriosis Archiving Software (ENEAS) in 100 women with endometriosis affected inflammatory chemokine gene expression, specifically IL-8 and MCP-1. Participants were divided into two groups of 50: a control group received gynecologist examination with medication and treatment, while the case group had demographic and clinical information entered into ENEAS, with IL-8 and MCP-1 gene expression assessed from blood RNA after extraction and cDNA synthesis. The authors found that IL-8 gene expression was significantly reduced in the ENEAS/case group versus control (P = 0.035), while MCP-1 expression also decreased but without statistical significance. The paper does not clearly state broader methodological limitations beyond the described design, and it does not elaborate on how ENEAS itself causally impacts biology versus acting as part of a broader workflow. This paper is centrally about endometriosis — it studies ENEAS application and its association with IL-8 and MCP-1 gene expression changes in women with endometriosis.
