Such cysts are lined usually by a single row of columnar cells sometimes surrounded by a narrow rim of stroma composed of small, spindly cells. There are 2 extensive recent reviews of this subject.0~ 12 Huhn9 reported the presence of such cysts in 41% of 125 thoroughly examined cases; Langel2 found them in 34.301, of 178 patients with carcinoma of the uterine cervix treated by surgery.
