ROLE OF ENDOMETRIOSIS AS A RISK FACTOR FOR THE FEMALES WITH PRIMARY SUB-FERTILITY.
This cross-sectional study found endometriosis in 16% of 169 women with primary infertility, suggesting it is a common gynecological problem in reproductive-aged females.

This cross-sectional study assessed the role and frequency of endometriosis among 169 women with primary infertility at a single obstetrics and gynecology department, using history, examinations, baseline labs (ESR, FSH, LH, serum prolactin), and pelvic ultrasound followed by laparoscopy during the proliferative phase. Endometriosis was identified in 27 women (16%), with stages distributed across stage 1 (2.4%), stage 2 (3.6%), stage 3 (4.7%), and stage 4 (5.3%). The study reports that laparoscopy was used as a diagnostic approach, but it provides limited detail on other infertility etiologies or how participants were selected beyond meeting inclusion criteria. This paper is centrally about endometriosis as a risk factor in women with primary sub-fertility.
