Abstract
Die diagnostische Laparoskopie ist zurzeit das einzige Verfahren, eine Endometriose im kleinen Becken hinsichtlich Ausdehnung und Schweregrad zu beurteilen, mittels Biopsie zu sichern und andere Erkrankungen differenzialdiagnostisch auszuschließen. Therapeutisch ist sie bei peritonealer Endometriose der primäre Behandlungsschritt. Ihre Effektivität ist sowohl bei Schmerzpatientinnen als auch bei Kinderwunsch durch prospektiv randomisierte Studien nachgewiesen.
