This preprint studied whether the circular RNA hsa_circ_0063526 (circ-RanGAP1) regulates endometriosis development by interacting with microRNA-141-5p. Using RT-qPCR on ectopic endometriosis tissues from 31 women and control endometrium from 10 women, the authors reported higher hsa_circ_0063526 in ectopic lesions and a negative correlation between hsa_circ_0063526 and miRNA-141-5p; in End1/E6E7 cells, hsa_circ_0063526 knockdown reduced invasion, metastasis-related behaviors, and proliferation, while miR-141-5p inhibition rescued these effects. In an endometriosis mouse model, si-hsa_circ_0063526 and miR-141-5p–related interventions reportedly reduced lesion size and altered endometriosis gene expression, but the paper does not clearly state limitations beyond noting it is a non–peer reviewed preprint. This paper is centrally about endometriosis — it proposes that hsa_circ_0063526 promotes endometriosis by sponging miRNA-141-5p.
