Efficacy of exercise on pelvic pain and posture associated with endometriosis: within subject design
An 8-week exercise program significantly decreased pelvic pain intensity and thoracic kyphosis in women with endometriosis.

The paper studied whether an 8-week supervised, low-impact exercise program affects pelvic pain intensity and posture in 20 women (aged 26–32) with laparoscopically confirmed mild or moderate endometriosis and severe premenstrual pelvic pain, using a within-subject design with assessments at baseline, after 4 weeks (12 sessions), and after 8 weeks (24 sessions). Participants performed posture correction, breathing, relaxation, stretching (including pelvic floor stretching), and treadmill walking, while receiving the same hormonal treatment (medroxyprogesterone acetate monthly for 6 months) and no analgesics; kyphosis angle was measured using a 3D optical system and pain was scored with the Present Pain Intensity scale. After 8 weeks, kyphosis angle decreased significantly versus baseline and versus the 4-week timepoint, and pain intensity decreased significantly versus baseline and versus 4 weeks, with further reduction already present at 4 weeks. The main caveat is the lack of a control group and the small sample size, limiting conclusions about whether effects were specific to exercise. This paper is centrally about endometriosis — it evaluates exercise effects on pelvic pain and posture (including kyphosis) in women with laparoscopically confirmed endometriosis.
