Ureteric and pulmonary endometriosis
This case report details a patient with rare ureteric and pulmonary endometriosis, initially mimicking metastatic gynecologic cancer, which successfully responded to goserelin acetate treatment.

This paper reports what it describes as the first documented case of endometriosis involving both ureteric and pulmonary sites. The authors present a patient whose radiographs showed pulmonary lesions interpreted clinically as “pulmonary metastases” with hydronephrosis mimicking an unknown-primary malignant gynecologic tumor; laparoscopy revealed severe endometriotic lesions, leading them to attribute the findings to endometriosis. The patient received goserelin acetate for six months, after which control radiographs showed complete regression of the pulmonary lesions and the patient remained symptom-free 36 months after diagnosis, with the main limitation being that this is a single case report. This paper is centrally about endometriosis — it details ureteric and pulmonary endometriosis presenting with malignancy-mimicking imaging.
