This integrative literature review examines the impact of dietary patterns and nutritional interventions on symptom management and quality of life in women with endometriosis. The authors analyzed studies published between 2021 and 2026 to evaluate how specific diets, such as the Mediterranean diet and low-FODMAP approach, influence pain, oxidative stress, and gastrointestinal manifestations associated with the disease. Key findings indicate that while certain nutrients and antioxidant supplements show promise in reducing inflammatory markers, evidence for restrictive diets and supplementation remains heterogeneous, suggesting no single universal nutritional strategy applies to all patients. Relevance to endometriosis: Centrally about the condition — specifically investigating the role of diet and nutrition in managing symptoms and improving quality of life for women with endometriosis.
