Abstract
Endometriosis is a significant benign gynaecological disorder. It is a chronic disease found in women of reproductive age. This chapter will deal with surgical therapies for the management of rectal/bowel endometriosis. Key symptoms, techniques of clinical assessment and preoperative imaging will also be discussed. A central focus will be the examination of diagnosis, assessment and preoperative consent. In addition, surgical techniques for the management of rectal/bowel endometriosis will be described.
