Hysterics and Heresy: Using Dialogism to Explore the Problematics of Endometriosis Diagnosis
This study analyzed women's online narratives about endometriosis diagnosis, finding that dominant discourses of psycho-abnormality and biological normality hinder treatment, while a marginalized discourse of reclaiming expertise promotes patient agency.
