Abstract

La endometriosis se define como el crecimiento ectopico de tejido semejante al endometrio en varias localizaciones extrauterinas, principalmente en la cavidad pelvica. Los implantes endometriosicos pueden producir la formacion de una tumoracion que ha sido descrita como endometrioma. La endometriosis puede representar un reto para el diagnostico y tratamiento dependiendo de su localizacion y momento de aparicion. Primary umbilical endometriosis Abstract Endometriosis is defined as the growth of ectopic endometrial tissue in extrauterine locations, mainly in the pelvic cavity. Endometriotic implants can result in the formation of a tumor which has been described as endometrioma. Endometriosis can be a challenge for diagnosis and treatment depending on its location and time of occurrence.We present a patient evaluated in the Dermatology Department of Hospital Aleman, Buenos Aires.
