Abstract

Se denomina endometriosis a la presencia de tejido endometrial extrauterino, siendo su localizacion habitual intrapelvica. En el 1% de los casos se localiza en el area umbilical[1, 2]. La endometriosis cutanea puede ser espontanea o secundaria y clinicamente se caracteriza por una lesion nodular que puede presentar modificaciones durante la menstruacion como dolor, aumento de volumen e incluso sangrado lo que le ha valido el nombre de “tumor menstruante”[3].
