Abstract

Intramyometric adenomyosis or endometriosis is the pathology characterized by the presence of endometrial tissue, glands and stroma in myometrium. It can be represented by diffuse shapes and intracapsular or pseudocapsular circumscribed forms. From our study, adenomyosis is a more common pathology in practice, and its presence is often masked by the associated utero-anatomical pathology. In our study, patients were admitted for menometrorrhagies, which had as substrate: uterine polyphenomyelosis, endometrial hyperplasia and ovarian cyst tumors. The therapeutic conduct in all 76 cases consisted of the medical treatment of preoperative rebalancing, the patient's consent for the surgery and the surgical procedure performed, total hysterectomy with or without bilateral anexectomy. The objective of our work was to detect and treat adenomyosis manifested by menometroragii in women over 35 years of age. Therapeutic conduction is surgical, total hysterectomy with or without anexectomy, the other medical therapeutical means being ineffective. The histopathological examination is sovereign being the only one that can diagnose the diagnosis of adenomyosis.
