Predominant symptoms of endometriosis are pain and infertility Laparoscopy is the standard for diagnosis Ultrasound appearances may be very diverse. Characteristically endometriomas have a uniform low-echo content. The ability of MRI to characterize products of haemorrhage make it an ideal test.
