Videolaparoscopic Treatment of Endometriosis: A Systematic Review
This systematic review of 14 studies indicates videolaparoscopy is an effective treatment for endometriosis, but delayed diagnosis can negatively impact reproductive outcomes.

This paper is a systematic review using PRISMA methods to evaluate laparoscopic (videolaparoscopic) treatment of endometriosis over the last five years, identifying 14 eligible studies from 386 articles. Across included studies, videolaparoscopy was reported as effective with potential advantages for treating endometriosis, but also associated with some complications. A key caveat highlighted is that delays in indicating laparoscopy can contribute to late diagnosis and may affect reproductive outcomes. This paper is centrally about endometriosis — it focuses specifically on the effectiveness and advantages (and complications) of videolaparoscopic treatment in the last five years.
