Transvaginal Ultrasound vs. Magnetic Resonance Imaging: What Is the Optimal Imaging Modality for the Diagnosis of Endometriosis?
This study compared transvaginal ultrasound (TVS) and MRI for diagnosing deep infiltrated endometriosis in 256 patients, finding MRI generally superior but TVS sufficiently accurate, particularly for rectal lesions.
