Expression of human b-defensin-2 in the eutopic and ectopic endometrial tissues in patients with endometriosis
Human b-defensin-2, TNF-a, and IL-1b gene and protein expression were significantly higher in ectopic endometrium of endometriosis patients than in eutopic endometrium, suggesting a role in pathogenesis.
