This literature review synthesizes clinical, ultrasound, and elastography data to identify predictors of poor dienogest response in adenomyosis patients, noting that uterine volume best predicts bleeding while elastography reflects fibrosis severity.

This literature review examines clinical, echographic, and elastographic indicators to predict inadequate therapeutic responses to dienogest in patients diagnosed with adenomyosis. The authors synthesize existing evidence regarding how specific morphological features of the uterus and tissue stiffness measurements correlate with treatment efficacy and symptom relief. While the paper highlights potential biomarkers for non-response, it notes that standardized criteria for these predictive models remain under development across various studies. Relevance to endometriosis: listed as one indication for GnRH antagonists, though the paper's main focus is uterine fibroids.
