Abstract

Endometriose é definida como a presença de tecido endometrial fora da cavidade uterina, que responde aestímulos hormonais. Um total aproximado de 1% a 2% dos casos atinge o sistema urinário, sendo a bexiga oórgão mais frequentemente afetado, com 84% dos casos. As manifestações clínicas incluem síndrome da dorpélvica cíclica, síndrome uretral aguda, sintomas de cistite e hematúria. O diagnóstico precoce é importante,diminuindo a morbidade da doença, o que reduz despesas com a saúde e melhora a qualidade de vida destaspacientes. O objetivo do presente estudo foi realizar uma revisão da literatura sobre endometriose no tratogeniturinário. Os temas mais abordados sobre a endometriose vesical foram seu diagnóstico e tratamento,encontrados em 48 trabalhos pesquisados. Os autores destes trabalhos encontraram a biópsia como únicomeio de diagnóstico de certeza. Devido à alta taxa de recidiva com o tratamento hormonal, o tratamentocirúrgico tem sido proposto com grande frequência.
