This case report describes a rare instance of extragenital endometriosis localized in the appendix, a condition that is typically asymptomatic but can present clinically as acute appendicitis. The authors highlight that laparoscopic surgery serves as the preferred treatment modality for managing this specific localization due to its low morbidity and ability to prevent future complications such as perforation or adhesions. The paper emphasizes the importance of recognizing this unusual presentation to ensure appropriate surgical intervention and avoid adverse outcomes associated with delayed diagnosis. This paper is centrally about endometriosis — specifically focusing on an atypical extragenital manifestation involving the appendix.
