This single-center retrospective study evaluated 47 cases of pelvic endometriosis imaged over 27 months to describe MRI features and lesion locations. Using a 1.5 Tesla phased-array MRI protocol, the authors assessed patient age, MRI indication, and the distribution of endometriosis manifestations, reporting an average patient age of 39.5 years and that pelvic pain and menstrual cycle disorders were the most common indications. Adenomyosis was present in 52.5% of patients, and ovarian endometriosis occurred in 14.7% with endometriomas and “kissing ovaries” in some cases; deep infiltrating lesions were identified in 19.7% with variable sites, while multifocal involvement affected 29.8% and no superficial endometriosis was detected.
