Polymorphisms of the GSTT1 and GSTM1 genes in women of central Serbia: Absence of association with uterine myoma

It included 34 clinically diagnosed myoma patients and 35 healthy controls, with genotypes determined using multiplex PCR, and compared null genotype frequencies and combinations. The authors found no significant differences in GSTT1 or GSTM1 null genotypes between patients and controls and no statistically significant risk associated with the GSTT1 null/GSTM1 null combination relative to GSTT1 positive/GSTM1 positive.
