[Laparoscopy in chronic pelvic pain--a prospective clinical study]
This prospective study of 86 women with chronic pelvic pain found that laparoscopy revealed pelvic organ pathology in 88.4%, most commonly endometriosis, and is a highly specific and sensitive diagnostic procedure.
