ENDOMETRİOZİSE BAĞLI AĞRI TEDAVİSİNDE LEVONORGESTREL SALGILAYAN RAHİM İÇİ ARAÇ SİSTEMİ (LNG-RİA) VE NAPROKSEN SODYUM ETKİNLİĞİ KARŞILAŞTIRILMASI
This study compared the efficacy of levonorgestrel-releasing intrauterine devices (LNG-IUD) and naproxen sodium for endometriosis pain, finding LNG-IUD to be more effective.

This study compared the efficacy of a levonorgestrel-releasing intrauterine system (LNG-IUD) versus naproxen sodium for endometriosis-related pain in 60 patients with surgically/pathologically confirmed endometriosis, randomized into three groups (control, LNG-IUD, naproxen) with monthly follow-up over six months. Pain outcomes were measured using the McGill pain questionnaire and a visual analogue scale, tracked monthly, and statistical testing assessed changes over time. The LNG-IUD group showed a statistically significant decrease in mean VAS scores from month 1 to month 6, while the naproxen sodium group had reductions in pelvic pain and dysmenorrhea but no difference in pain severity reduction between months. This paper is centrally about endometriosis — it directly evaluates LNG-IUD versus naproxen sodium for treatment of endometriosis-related pain.
