Abstract

Summary. Menorrhagia is a common problem. It is the pre-operative diagnosisfor at least 25% of the estimated 700 000 hysterectomies performed in the United States each year. This paper will review management of menorrhagia including endometrial ablation with the resectoscope, an out-patient alternative to hysterectomy for thousands of women.
