The effect and significace of the matrix metalloproteinase inhibitor RECK on microvessel density in endometriosis

Objective:To investigate microvessel density(MVD) and the matrix metalloproteinase inhibitor RECK expression in the ectopic endometrium and eutopic endometrium,explore the effect and significace of the matrix metalloproteinase inhibitor RECK on MVD in the occurrence and development of endometriosis.Methods:The expression of MVD and RECK in the ctopic endometrium from 48 patients with endometriosis and the eutopic endometrium from 31 patients without endometriosis were detected by immunohistochemical analysis.Results:The expression of RECK in eutopic endometrium(87.1%) was higher than that in ctopic endometrium(43.8%)(P0.05).MVD in ctopic endometrium(17.55±4.82) was higher than that in eutopic endometrium(8.79±2.45)(P0.05).MVD was negatively related to the expression of RECK(γ=-0.530,P0.05).Conclusion:The low expression of RECK may play an important role in the course of the growth of endometriosis.
