Abstract
Aim To determine whether polymorphism of the interleukin-10(IL-10)gene is associated with endometriosis in a Chinese population.Method 107 women diagnosed with endometriosis by operation were taken as study group, and we sampled their fresh tissue during the operation. We extracted the DNA from the tissue, then used PCR-RFLP to examine the-1082,-819,-592 gene polymorphism in IL-10 gene. Results There was no statistically signigicant difference between the patients and the controls in the frequency of the IL-10-1082,-819,-592 gene polymorphism. Conclusion The frequency of IL-10 gene polymorphism has no statistically significant difference between the patients and the controls.
